Lalamove Stickers on Leased Vehicles: UK Installation Guide
Using a Leased Vehicle? Check Before Installing Lalamove Stickers
Before installing Lalamove stickers on a leased vehicle, check your lease agreement and get permission from your leasing company if required.
You also need to check your insurance, find out whether the vehicle’s recorded colour needs updating, and understand any rules about removing the stickers when you return the vehicle.
This guide explains what to check and includes a message you can send to your leasing company.
Can you put Lalamove stickers on a leased vehicle?
You may be able to install Lalamove stickers on a leased vehicle, but you need to complete some additional checks first.
Check your lease agreement and get written permission from your leasing company if required. Adding stickers or other branding without the required permission could breach your lease agreement.
If your leasing company does not give permission, do not have the stickers installed.
1. Check your lease agreement
Check your lease agreement for any rules about vehicle stickers, decals, wraps, advertising, signwriting or other changes to the vehicle.

Contact your leasing company before installation and ask them to confirm:
-
Whether you have permission to install the Lalamove stickers.
-
Whether you need any other approvals or checks before installation.
-
Whether there are any rules for removing the stickers before returning the vehicle.
Ask for any permission and conditions in writing, and keep a copy for your records.
If your leasing company does not give permission, do not have the Lalamove stickers installed on that vehicle.
What should you ask your leasing company?
Before contacting your leasing company, have your vehicle registration, lease details and sticker information ready.
You can copy and edit the message below. Attach an image of the approved sticker design and placement if available.

3. Check your insurance before installation
Getting permission from your leasing company does not replace your insurance checks.
-
Contact the providers of any relevant insurance you arrange yourself. This may include your motor insurance and separate Hire & Reward insurance, if you have it.
-
Ask whether adding Lalamove branding is allowed under your policy and whether you need to declare the stickers.
-
If your leasing company provides or arranges your insurance, ask them whether you need any additional insurance approval before installation.
Our Insurance and DVLA Guide explains which insurers to contact and includes a message you can send.

4. Check who will handle any V5C colour update.
If the stickers change your vehicle’s main colour, the colour recorded on its V5C registration certificate also called the vehicle log book may need updating.
Ask your leasing company:
-
Who the registered keeper is.
-
Whether a colour update needs to be checked with DVLA.
-
Who will arrange any required update.
If you are not the registered keeper, do not complete or send the V5C on their behalf. Ask your leasing company to confirm what needs to happen.
You can find more information in the DVLA section of the Insurance and DVLA Guide.

5. Check the rules for removing your stickers
Before installation, ask your leasing company what you must do with the stickers when you return the vehicle.
Check whether:
-
The stickers must be removed before return.
-
You must use a particular removal method or professional service.
-
Any remaining adhesive must be removed.
-
You could be charged for removal or damage.
Lalamove stickers are made from removable vinyl, but you still need to follow your leasing company’s rules. Do not assume that removal will be included or that no charges could apply.
